Dimensions: 5 × 5 × 7 cm
Melbourne had just entered its second lockdown due to the pandemic, and at first, I was feeling completely stuck—mentally and physically.
So I took a piece of paper and cut out a little house, added a big window, and gave it space to “breathe.”
Once the house was done, I felt like the inside needed something too. So I drew my life into it.
There’s a warped clock with both the sun and the moon on it, symbolising my totally flipped day-night schedule 😅 The clock also looks a bit like a pizza, because honestly, I spent most of my time eating.
Next to it is a giant cup of bubble tea, my beloved Teh Tarik (so good!), a bag of half-price chips from Woolworths, and a trusty can of tuna—basically my entire lockdown diet.
There’s also me, drawing, with a cat nearby.
This piece reminds me that even when the world outside feels limited, I still have the ability to make life playful, personal, and full of small joys. Lockdown didn’t take that away—it just gave me a different lens to see it through. :)
