This policy outlines our commitment to child safety and wellbeing and provides guidance on the measures we implement to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for all participants.

We adhere to the Child Safe Standards as outlined in the Victorian Child Safe Standards Act 2015 and the Working with Children Act 2005.

Our policy is in accordance with the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education and Care.

3. Risk Management and Supervision

Our premises are child-friendly and designed to minimise potential hazards.

Children are always supervised by responsible adults during sessions, and ratios are maintained as appropriate to age groups.

Adults are responsible for supervising their children's behaviour and ensuring their safety.

4. Qualified Staff and Adult Conduct

Our staff and volunteers have current Working with Children Checks and relevant qualifications.

Adults are expected to role-model appropriate behaviour, communication, and respect towards all participants.

5. Communication and Reporting

Our team maintains open lines of communication with children and their parents/guardians, addressing any concerns promptly.

Suspected child abuse or neglect is reported as required by law and internal procedures are followed.

6. Health and Wellbeing

Children's medical conditions, allergies, and dietary requirements are recorded and respected.

Children are encouraged to drink water, wash hands, and follow personal hygiene practices.

7. Emergency Preparedness

Evacuation plans and procedures are in place and communicated to all participants.

First aid kits are readily accessible and staff have been trained in first aid procedures.

8. Privacy and Consent

Personal information is collected and managed in compliance with privacy laws and regulations.

Written consent is sought for photography, and images are used for promotional purposes only with consent.

9. Inclusive Environment

Artmigo promotes inclusivity and ensures all children and adults feel valued, respected, and safe.

We consider individual needs and work towards accommodating them wherever possible.
